FAQ Friday #12 - I've bought some 2 part adhesive from you, but only want to mix part of it at a time - how is best to do this?

FAQ Friday #12 - I've bought some 2 part adhesive from you, but only want to mix part of it at a time - how is best to do this?

There are two ways to measure the glue, or part A, which comes in the tin. The first is to measure it in volume (ml) in a jug or similar type item which has ml measurements on it. The second would be to weigh it, but note that 1ml does not weigh 1g!
To measure the activator, or part B, which comes in an amber glass bottle, I would suggest a medicine type spoon...obviously don't use it for medicine afterwards... or even better would be a syringe. We do sell 1ml and 3ml syringes which will fit into our small glass bottles.
These ratios below can be scaled down and will help when mixing small quantities...
1000ml Part A : 52ml Part B
864g Part A : 52ml Part B
1000ml Part A : 40ml Part B
848g Part A : 40ml Part B
NB. These weights and ratios apply to the above specified glues bought from RIBstore. Other glues are likely to vary!
